I got a call from Caitlyn saying she wanted one last tour around Paphos before she was to move off to another country (Hungary). This is now the fourth day so I can only assume she has been very happy with my service. Spring was starting to slow down so I knew it wouldn't be an easy day, and despite having to work hard for the birds, the day produced a good variety of species.

Sites visited: Anarita Park, Episkopi, Mandria, Paphos Sewage Plant and Armou Hills.

Today I headed to Akrotiri to collect Caitlyn for another tour. It was peak spring migration so I knew we were in for a good day. I arrived a little early so decided to check Phassouri Marsh for some crakes. No crakes were present but a Little Bittern and a Great Reed Warbler were, two fantastic migrants. Sadly I could not re-locate the species after picking up Caitlyn.
The day turned out to be an excellent one, clocking 78 species. Bimaculated Lark and Black-Bellied Sandgrouse were reported in the area previous days but sadly the Bimac must have continued migration and the Sandgrouse were no-where to be seen (although I did locate one a few days later).

Sites visited: Phassouri Reeds, Gravel Pits, Bishops Pool, Lady's Mile, Zakaki Marsh and Akrotiri Salt Lake.

I set off to Akrotiri to do a tour for Mark Askew and Carl Taylor. I had previously done 4 mini tours for Mark as he was out here on holiday with family and was very pressed for time, but he managed to get a full day in today. I had also previously done a small tour for Carl Taylor, showing him the sites around Paphos.
The day was fruitful nailing 58 species.
